Yin Yoga
Yin Yoga is a style where certain passive yoga poses are held for a longer duration of time. The poses can be held for 2-10 minutes. Contrary to the belief that Yin Yoga is from China, this concept is taken from the ancient practice of Classical Hatha Yoga – where the poses are held from 1-3 minutes.
Yin Yoga, traditionally uses 26 hatha yoga poses. The names have been changed to create distinction between hatha and yin. The use of muscles is kept to a minimum, so the muscles are gently engaged to hold the posture without any extra effort. As the poses are to be held for a longer duration, the use of props like cushions, bolsters, etc., is encouraged.

Restorative Yoga
Restorative Yoga is a gentle, slow, still style of yoga that involves long, passive holds in a series of four to six restful poses. Yogis are often supported by props to enhance or deepen their experience and achieve a state of total relaxation and release. Restorative yoga classes are based on the teaching of B.K.S. Iyengar.
Hatha Yoga
Most forms of yoga in the West can be classified as Hatha Yoga. Hatha simply refers to the practice of physical yoga postures. The word “Hatha” can be translated two ways: as “willful” or “forceful,” or the yoga of activity, and as “sun” (ha) and “moon” (tha), the yoga of balance. Hatha practices are designed to align and calm your body, mind, and spirit in preparation for meditation. Postures are typically held longer with a concentration on breath/body alignment.

Gentle Yoga
Gentle Yoga classes are a great place to take it slower, and still, experience all the benefits of yoga. Classes focus on releasing tension, connecting with the breath, and helping students gain strength and flexibility. Gentle Yoga uses classical Hatha postures with slight variations to accommodate all levels.
Beginners Yoga
Beginners Yoga consists of the basic, foundational yoga postures. These postures align, strengthen, and promote flexibility in the body. Breathing techniques and meditation are also integrated. You can expect an emphasis on simplicity, repetition, and ease of movement.
